Culinary pleasures at Villa Bossi. Discover our wide selection of Balinese and Western dishes prepared by our staff, including kid's menu.

Our staff can prepare the most delicious Balinese and Western food. They will be more than happy to prepare lunch and/or dinner during your stay at the villa. Please discuss with them the arrangements of the day before 10 AM. For your own convenience, we suggest to have them do the shopping for you.

As it is practically not possible to prepare individual dishes for each guest, we recommend selecting 2 or 3 dishes to share. Our staff can help you to make a selection based on the daily availability of fresh products. Please find below some recommendations.

Salads & Soups

  • Salad Tuna Fish: mixed green salad with, tomato, cucumber, onion and tuna fish
  • Salad Feta Cheese: mixed green salad with Greek feta cheese
  • Sup Tomato: soup of fresh tomato (somewhat spicy)
  • Sup Kepiting : soup of fresh crab with celery, onion and garlic
  • Soto ayam : soup of chicken (filet) with lemon grass, ginger, potato, mihoen (glass noodle) topped with bumbu (fried garlic, onion) and boiled egg
  • “Boentjessup”: soup made of small black Balinese beans, finished with spring onions, garlic, ginger and lemongrass

Western dishes and kids

  • Spaghetti or penne with tomato sauce and/or olive oil and cheese
  • Pasta Tuna: pasta with tuna, tomato sauce and vegetables
  • Japple: grilled ham and cheese sandwich
  • Steak: homemade chicken or beef burger
  • Fried potato: homemade French fries

Dessert

  • Fresh fruit of the day (April-July: strawberries!, September-December : mango!)
  • Fried banana/pineapple: classic fried bananas and/or pineapple in a light crust, topped with a light caramel sauce

  • Kue kukus: sweet, sticky rice with coconut and black sugar
  • Bubur: Balinese rice pudding with a touch of fresh coconut

Balinese dishes

  • Nasi Goreng: fried rice with chicken, shrimps, vegetables and fried egg
  • Mie Goreng: fried rice noodles with chicken, shrimps, vegetable and fried egg
  • Nasi Kuning : fried rice with saffron, fresh coconut and lemon grass
  • Nasi Ikan Asin : fried rice with sun dried fish fillet, mushrooms, onion, ginger and garlic
  • Balinese spring rolls: homemade spring rolls filled with vegetables and chicken, tuna or shrimps - served with peanut and/or chilli sauce
  • Bututu: chicken prepared with onion, garlic, lemongrass and ginger (somewhat spicy), served with homemade sambal Bali (fresh onion, chilli and lime mix)
  • Bola Bola: chicken in sweet and sour sauce with small pieces of onion, paprika and pineapple
  • Ayam Goreng: fried chicken, prepared with onion and garlic
  • Balinese chicken: chicken prepared with lime, chilli and garlic (spicy)
  • Babi ketchap: fried pork served with ketchap manis sauce (brown meat sauce with aniseed, ginger and red paprika)
  • Braised beef : fried beef in soy sauce with mushrooms, carrots, onion and garlic
  • Satay: satay with chicken or pork, served with a classic peanut sauce
  • Udang Goreng Mentega: shrimp in garlic butter
  • Udang Goreng Tepung: fried Balinese shrimps, upon request served with a sweet and sour sauce
  • Mango fish : fried tuna fillet with fresh mango (sauce), ginger and garlic
  • Ikan Goreng: small grilled fish (catch of the day)
  • Calamari Tiram: fresh calamari with pieces of onion, red and green paprika and garlic
  • Tumis Brocoli: fresh calamari with broccoli and teriyaki sauce
